In the wake of everything going on with Samsung and the Galaxy Note 7, everyone is wondering what they should get. And many people who buy a Samsung are looking for it because they like Android based products, and are adamant about not going to an iPhone, which is understandable, because everyone has their preferences. So why should you consider the Google Pixel Phone? Let’s take a look.

It Looks Relatively Similar to everything That’s Out There Now

It’s not spectacular when you look at it. Honestly taking a brief glance of a video it looks like a nice combination of the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy. Visually it’s something pretty to look at which is always a positive when it comes to new phones. You don’t want them to be so different (unless we’re talking about a see through phone like Tony Stark) but it’s visually appealing.

The Camera is Awesome

When you look at the pictures that you can take they are beautiful a 12mp camera that according to the review on The Verge, the photos are extremely clear and the ability to take photos one after another is fast.

The Specs are Pretty Good, Maybe Even Great

Taking a look at the CNET review, the phone includes some impressive hardware. And we are looking at a phone that is trying to rival that of the major providers. Each phone has a “quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor – two cores running at 2.15GHz and two at a more battery-efficient 1.6GHz — with a boost from Qualcomm’s Hexagon technology for tasks such as image and audio processing. The phones have OLED screens, 4GB of memory and either 32GB and 128GB of storage space”.

You Really Like Having a Headphone Jack

Seriously though, the new iPhone will be getting rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack and users are up in arms. Because then what will we do will all those headphones? However if it’s something that’s important to you, this could be the perfect option. The phone itself does not come with headphones itself but you can always buy a cheap pair that work perfectly.

There Will Be Pixel Exclusive Items

Because Google is behind Android, there will be some things limited to the Pixel that other Android phones will not be privy to. Google Assistant for one is something you wont find anywhere else. Also, you can do screen sharing, so instead of trying to talk your way through an issue, a tech will eb able to see your phone screen and help you directly.

What Carrier Will Work With the Pixel

It will be through Verizon, however, not your only option. There is Project Fi, which is a carrier that was created by Google itself. According to Android Central, there are no contracts, or overage charges. It uses the Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular networks depending on which is giving you the best signal.

They state it’s “just $20 per month to start, plus $10 per gigabyte of data you use, no matter how much you use. You’re refunded for data you buy but don’t consume in the month, and you can even use that data outside of the U.S. with no extra fees. There’s even a group plan where you can bring along your family to Project Fi.” (Android Central).
